Stephanie Stretch (nee Seibert) has strong ties to Kitchener, where she was born, raised, and now currently resides with her family in the downtown area. She has invested in the schools, parks, playgrounds, and people of her childhood community and feels a deep sense of connection to the diverse population. Stephanie hopes to give back to the community that has given her so much.
Stretch's priority is to listen, and to advocate on behalf of residents. Stretch anticipates conversations on topics such as: affordable housing, health care, education, anti-racism, indigeneity, responsible development and design, expanding on access to green space, and environmental sustainability and protection.
Stephanie Stretch lives in Kitchener and works with her husband, two daughters, new pup "Snoopy," and her in-laws. Stephanie has over two decades of professional experience working in the not-for-profit sector, where she directly supported and advocated for children, youth, and families with Pathways to Education at Camino Wellbeing + Mental Health (Formally Carizon Family and Community Services). Most recently she was working with TD Wealth Management in Guelph before she was appointed to Kitchener City Council to represent Ward 10 in late January of 2024.
Stephanie is delighted and honoured to give Ward 10 residents her full attention as she serves and represents her community as Ward 10 Councillor. She currently serves on the following committees and boards.
Stephanie absolutely plans to run again in 2026.
